A Provincial Nominee Program, or PNP, is a program established by a provincial government in Canada. The NBPNP allows New Brunswick to nominate newcomers to Canada based on the province's specific immigration requirements.

The New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program seeks suitable applicants who can contribute to the province's economic and labor market requirements.

Under the NBPNP, candidates can qualify through one of five categories:
1. New Brunswick Express Entry Stream.
The Express Entry Stream in New Brunswick is for applicants who have profiles in the federal Express Entry Pool.

They must possess the necessary skills, education, and job experience to contribute to the province's economy and be willing to live and work in the province permanently.

Candidates must first fulfil the eligibility standards, after which they will be evaluated and graded on six factors: age, education, language skills, work experience, job offer, and adaptability.

Initial Eligibility Requirements for the New Brunswick Express Entry Stream


1) Connection to the province of New Brunswick.

Candidates must fulfil at least one of the following criteria:

• Be a resident of New Brunswick and employed full-time by a New Brunswick employer in a skill type 0 or skill level A or B of the NOC.
• Possess an offer of continuous, paid, full-time work from a New Brunswick employer in a NOC 0, A, or B vocation.
• Have been chosen from the Express Entry pool by New Brunswick in response to provincial labour market demands.


2) Intention of relocating to New Brunswick.

Candidates must demonstrate a sincere desire to live in New Brunswick. Intent can be established in a variety of ways, including the following:

Describes the steps necessary to establish a permanent residence in New Brunswick.
• Current employment in the province of New Brunswick.
• Particulars of the job hunt.
• The duration of any prior and/or present residency in New Brunswick.
• Participation of the community.
• Self-sufficiency in New Brunswick.
• Work, education, or familial ties to New Brunswick.
• Professional associations and networks.
• The term "residency" refers to agreements governing household leases and/or property ownership.
• Family links and other social connections and interactions.
• Prior travels to Canada are detailed.
• Connection to other Canadian jurisdictions.

The settlement payments required by New Brunswick Express Entry are identical to those required by the federal government.

4) Meet the minimum requirements for NOC 0, A, or B jobs.

5) Accept an authentic employment offer (if applicable).

The New Brunswick Express Entry Stream does not require a job offer.

However, whomever obtains one must be employed in a permanent, full-time, non-seasonal capacity in a qualifying occupation. A minimum of 30 hours per week or 1,560 hours per year is considered full time.

6) Receive a fair salary offer (if applicable)

Where an application includes a job offer, the salaries proposed must:

Meet or surpass the occupation's median salary level in the specified region of New Brunswick.
Be comparable to the rate offered to workers with comparable experience and training in New Brunswick for comparable jobs.
Maintain consistency with the employer's salary structure.


2. New Brunswick Skilled Worker Stream.
The New Brunswick Skilled Worker Stream is intended for individuals who have been offered a permanent, full-time work in New Brunswick.

Eligibility Requirements for the New Brunswick Skilled Worker Stream


1) Genuine Job Opportunity

Employment offer for a permanent, full-time position in a qualifying occupation.

High-skilled employees are classified as NOC 0, A, or B. Semi-skilled workers are classified as NOC C. Low-skilled workers are classified as NOC D skill types 7, 8, and 9.

2) Requirements

Candidates must establish their suitability for the advertised post.


3) Receive a competitive salary offer

Wages must include the following:

Meet or surpass the occupation's median salary level in the specified region of New Brunswick.
Be comparable to the rate offered to workers with comparable experience and training in New Brunswick for comparable jobs.
Maintain consistency with the employer's salary structure.


4) Intention of relocating to New Brunswick.

5) New Brunswick's Regulated Occupations

Candidates must possess the relevant certification or licence if the position being offered is a regulated occupation.

Selection Criteria for the New Brunswick Skilled Worker Stream

After applicants have completed all eligibility requirements, they are rated on six selection factors. To qualify, candidates must get 60 points out of a potential 100.


3. New Brunswick Skilled Worker Stream for Truck Drivers

The New Brunswick Skilled Worker Stream for Truck Drivers is designed for individuals who meet the requirements of NOC 7511 for Transport Truck Drivers and have been offered a permanent, full-time position by a New Brunswick company.

Eligibility Requirements for the New Brunswick Skilled Worker Stream for Truck Drivers

1. Intention to establish a residence in New Brunswick

Candidates may be required to establish their purpose to remain in New Brunswick by submitting documentation such as truck driver training in Atlantic Canada, driving logs indicating time spent in the province, residence in the province, and family links.

2. Professional Experience

Candidates must have two years of work experience in the previous five years, including nine months in New Brunswick on a work permit supported by a Labour Market Impact Assessment or a Post-Graduation Work Permit.

3. Employment Offer

a) To be qualified, employers must meet the following criteria:

• Have operated continuously and actively in New Brunswick for a minimum of two years under the same ownership.
• Possess a physical presence in the province of New Brunswick.
• Maintain compliance with all applicable federal and provincial employment requirements.
• Not contravene the Immigration and Refugees Protection Act (IRPA) or the Immigration and Refugees Protection Regulations (IRPR).
• Be actively involved in the NB business and hence closely related to the candidate's work.
b) The job offer must be full-time, permanent, and non-seasonal for a minimum of 30 hours per week, or 1,560 hours per year.

c) The salary provided must be comparable with the wage rates in New Brunswick for the occupation.

d) Applicants must possess a valid Class 1 New Brunswick driver's licence.
